FILM CLUB: MURAD IBRAGIMBEKOV’S FILM THERE WAS NEVER A BETTER BROTHER

YARAT Contemporary Art Centre is delighted to invite you to the screening of 'There Was Never a Better Brother', directed by Murad Ibragimbekov produced by Ibrus Production. The screening will be organized as a part of YARAT Film Club which aims to become an informal meeting point for the viewing and discussion of contemporary art videos and films.

Jalil’s life story begins during the Great Patriotic War, and ends in the seventies of the twentieth century. This story of relations between two brothers is tragic in its undecidability. These are the tragedies of a human, who was not given the opportunity to understand his surrounding.
Jalil sincerely loved his younger brother Simurg, and there was no other person dearer to him. A tiff between brothers leads to the destruction of the whole world, built by Jalil for many years in accordance with his principles and rules of his ancestors.
Murad Ibragimbekov was born March 12, 1965 in Baku. In 1989 graduated from Directing Faculty of VGIK (workshop of I. Talankin). Since 1991 - independent producer at "Ibrus" film company. Since 1995 works in advertising sphere, directed a number of commercials. Since 1997 shoots scenes for “Yeralash” children's almanac
