YARAT Film Club presents an Azerbaijani director Anar Abbasov’s “Sacrifice” movie. The movie is produced by “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio named after Jafar Jabbarli.

Father of three daughters makes pilgrimage to Mount Athos to perform a sacrifice asking God for a son.  

The man and his victim will walk a long way to become closer to the Creator.

The screening will be organized with the support of Embassy of Azerbaijan Republic in Russian Federation. Information support is offered by the Russian Congress for Ethnic Journalism (EthnoKongress).

Film is a matter of degree by Anar Abbasov.

Anar Abbasov (b.1975 ) grew up in Baku. He received his first degree in economics from Azerbaijani State Economic University in 1997. In 2002, Anar moved to Moscow to pursue a career in film. He graduated in 2011 from VGIK (Russian  State Institute of Cinematography) where he was trained by Alexei Uchitel. 

The film will be shown in Azerbaijani with English subtitles
