The film "Chameleon" is a story about a chance meeting of two young men – Ali and Nijat. The film is set in one of the provincial towns of Azerbaijan, which is visited by Nijat to sell the house that was left to him in inheritance after his father's death. In this case, he helps an old friend of the father of Ashraf. He finds a buyer by the name of Ali, the recently arrived in this town on the new appointment of the Deputy head of road construction and therefore needs a permanent home, where is going to move his family – wife and young son.

Nicat, who many years ago left his native land and went to Europe, interested in only how quickly to sell the house, because he has difficulties with money. The inhabitants of the same town cause him nothing but contempt and irritation.

Ali, seeks to advance his career and therefore he is willing to permanently relocate to the province from the capital, where he was born and grew up. It does not confuse the fact that soon he will take over his boss who treated him like his own son.

Two heroes of this story are like the chameleon, changes color, for them to achieve their interests above human values.

Rufat Hasanov was born on in 1987 in Baku, Azerbaijan. He graduated from Bates College (USA) in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. Prior to his career in film, he worked on television as production assistant and director of promo content. Since 2010, he has directed several documentaries and short films including Force majeure (2010) and Ô, sortie! (2010). Chameleon is his feature film debut.

Elvin Adigozel born in Goranboy, Azerbaijan, in 1989. In 2009 he graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts in filmmaking. From 2008-10 he was employed by the Azerbaijani State Regional Television, from where he borrowed the equipment to direct his first three shorts, “The Return” (2008), “She” (2009) and “In the Fog” (2010). CHAMELEON is his first feature film.
