YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites you to participate in LITTLE YARAT programme for younger audiences aimed at school age children through to teenagers.
LITTLE YARAT is a playful arts platform for children that enables them to get involved in YARAT’s workshops and interact with local and guest artists.

12:00 (age 4-7) – Shadow Theater by Leyla Gabulova
14:00 (age 8-12) – Shadow Theater by Leyla Gabulova
*Take a deep dive into the art of shadow theater in this hands-on workshop. While learning different techniques of visual storytelling and theatrical games, the participants will have the opportunity to showcase the theater they have created.

12:00 (age 4-7) – People Puzzle
14:00 (age 8-12) – People Puzzle
*This workshop invites participants to produce an individual artwork that becomes a part of a team installation. Each participant will draw and paint three parts of the human (body head, body, and legs) on three sides of a carton box. Once they build people on all four sides of the boxes, they can rotate the boxes and create new combinations of people.

*Based on the works of Ujal Hagverdiyev, the participants of the workshops will depict the sights of the world on watercolor paper. Combining different countries and their heritage in one picture, the participants will learn the boundlessness of world culture.

12:00 (age 8-12) – How I see it by Sayali Mammadova
*Based on the creative and life path of Ujal Hagverdiev and inspired by his works, searches and experiments in different directions, the workshop will have several topics that affect dreams, imagination and, of course, everyday topics. After getting acquainted with the artist's work, the children will come to their canvases on which they will find a small note attached with a theme. They will draw how they see it.
