In the frame of the International Week of French Language and Francophonie, the Embassy of France, the French Institute in Azerbaijan and the francophone Embassies of Belgium, Romania, Lithuania, Greece, Morocco and Egypt organize a unique Festival of francophone movies from Tuesday 5th of april to Sunday 17 of April 2016.
On April 7 at 7 pm in the YARAT Contemporary Art centre come and discover the movie "The Cherry Orchard" directed by the greek director Michael Cacoyannis, starring Charlotte Rampling, Alan Bates and Owen Teale and based on the 1904 famous play “The Cherry Orchard” by Anton Chekhov.

Synopsis:
Lyubov Ranevskaya (Charlotte Rampling) is fetched back home from Paris. Five years earlier, after the drowning of her son, she fled Russia for France, where she took a lover whom she allowed to squander much of her fortune. When she comes back to the family estate with her daughter Anya, the Cherry Orchard is in bloom but the family finances are in pretty poor shape.
