THE TUNED MOVER UNFOLD METHOD WORKSHOP WITH VALENTINA BORDENAVE

YARAT Contemporary Art Space welcomes actors, dancers, performers, and others interested in movement. No matter what one’s movement experience is, the field of exploration is unlimited.

UNFOLD is a movement and awareness training based on the Alexander Technique and dance. It facilitates integral and coordinated movement through enhanced sensory and motor functioning.

You are very welcome to this intensive workshop if you would like to spend time connected with your body, dance more, and get a more subtle experience of movement.

The practice invites the body to unfold into a multi-layered, fluid, and responsive whole. It also provides clear information and tools to increase body awareness, shake off unnecessary habits, and improve coordination. We begin to achieve that by understanding and experiencing how our postural and movement systems work and making space for lightness and energy in all our actions.

This exploration helps us to discover how we relate to our fantasy, to music, and to each other in space.

Please bring comfortable clothes to move and warm socks and a book of average size for the quiet part of the work. The book will serve as head support. We will practice barefoot.
