CREATE YOUSELF: ILAHA MAMMADOVA

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites you to meet the culinary and food blogger Ilaha Mammadova in frame “Create Youself” Project. 

Our guest speaker has a unique talent to get the reader engulfed in a cozy world of hers.  Not only does she write beautifully about the food she prepares,  but she always  shares her bitter/sweet experiences, motivates people and helps them to bring their ideas to life.

Ilaha graduated from the Faculty of International Relations and Economics of Baku State University and is currently employed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

Through the last 5 years of blogging, Ilya contributed to numerous online journals  including NARGIS Magazine, FUROR, baku-eto.az and cooperated with various local and international companies. She  has collaborated with the team of Italian experts for the  to prepare the Azerbaijani pavilion for the presentation at the international exhibition Milan EXPO 2015 devoted to the topic of nutrition. 

Ilya has recently presented Azerbaijani cuisine as part of the Food, I Love You, program broadcast on the Russian Friday channel. In 2014, Ilya has made her first appearance as a culinary savvy in  Breakfasts with Ilya at BISQUE Cafe, after which she was invited to conduct workshops and participate in the development of the menu for many restaurants in Baku. In 2016, she visited even the skin of a confectioner, successfully selling 250 cakes and 300 desserts over 9 months of her maternity leave.

Our conversation will revolve around the topic of generating and bringing your creative ideas to life, turning your hobby into a source of income, as well as various social influences that help to shape our personality. Come and ask your questions of interest and share your ideas.
