ARTCHRONIC: TALK BY KONSTIANTYN DOROSHENKO

YARAT Contemporary Art Space in the frame of “Artchronic” project invites you to meet with Ukrainian art critic, media manager, contemporary art curator and publicist Konstiantyn Doroshenko.

According to “Art Ukraine” magazine, in 2011 he was included in the list of the best Ukrainian art critics of the last decade and 5 influential Ukrainian curators of contemporary art. He also was awarded the prize named after Azerbaijani poet Mikayil Mushfig in 2015.

Topic of the lecture: “This is not chaos. Humanism in the contemporary art of Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

The lecture is referred to the artwork named “This is not chaos” by Rashad Alakbarov, presented at the Venice Biennale (2015), regarding Doroshenko’s impression by the artwork itself.

Doroshenko will also talk about Azerbaijani artists such as Sabina Shikhlinskaya, Rashad Alakbarov, Babi Badalov, Rena Efendi and Orkhan Huseynov, and Ukrainian artists based on his book called

“The End of the Late Iron Age” published in 2015.
