YARAT FILM CLUB presents Javid Ahadov’s animation film The old clock

YARAT Contemporary Art Space Film Club is delighted to invite you to the screening of feature animation film by Javid Ahadov 3 November 2015.

An animation  film  speaks about friendship between an old nail and a hammer. They are old, but their friendship is rejuvinating. The hammer and nail will cement their friendship forever by repairing the old clock.

Javid Ahadov (b. 1969 in Baku) is an artist, director of animation films and scriptwriter. Javid is a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan Republic and holds membership of the Filmmakers’ Federation of CIS countries.

He graduated from Fine Art College named after Azimzadeh, Baku in 1988 and, thereafter, studied scriptwriting, film directing and acting in  F.Hitruk’s Studio under the State School of Television and Radio, Moscow. In 1995, Javid Ahadov started working at «BIRLIK» animation studio. His animation works have been shown at numerous International Festivals including TOFUZI International Animation Film Festival,  Georgia  (2010), Shining Angel, Moscow  (2012 ), SCHLINGEL, Germany (2013), TREBON, Czech Republic (2014) and recently KROK International Animation Film Festival, Moscow (2015). Javid was working on the innovative projects in Stuttgart, Germany in 2013 and delivered a creative seminar at ERARTA, Saint Petersburg this year. He is mainly know for the following works: “The taste of kindness” (2007), “Virtuous hedgehog” (2009),  “Evil fly” (2011), “A drawing in the Sky” (2012) and others.
