FILM CLUB:THUNDER OF GOD(1965) BY DENYS DE LA PATELLIERE

On January 31, we invite everyone who loves cinema to watch and discuss the “Thunder of God (a 1965 drama directed by Denys de La Patellière). The screening will take place in frames of the ongoing group exhibition “Equinox”.

Brissac, an old notary and part-time veterinarian who loves animals just as much he loves alcohol, a misanthrope and anarchist, lives in his country mansion with his wife, a shy and modest woman accustomed to the oddities and whims of her husband.

Brissac loves to bring all the unfortunate and homeless creatures who are found in the area (stray dogs, dirty garbage men, street girls) into his house. One day, in one of the small cafes, Brissac meets a young girl of easy virtue, Simone, and takes her home.

The film will be shown in Russian with Azerbaijani subtitles.
