Luke Burton, born 1983, is an artist who lives and works in London. He holds an MA in sculpture from Royal College of Art, London (2011-2013) and a BA in Painting from Chelsea College of Art and Design (2002-2005). Luke has recently exhibited his work at Bosse & Baum, London; National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh; 3 137 Gallery, Athens; Tritongaten 5, Gothenburg (all 2015); Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; Technopolis Museum, Athens; Chisenhale Art Place, London (all 2014); Carroll/Fletcher Gallery, London Turner Contemporary, Margate; MK Gallery, Milton Keynes; Vitrine Gallery, London (all 2013). Forthcoming projects in 2016 include group exhibitions at Turf Projects, London; Manoir di Martigny, Lausanne and a solo show at Valentin Espace d’Arts, Lausanne. He is working on a series of drawings to accompany a new edition of the Ancient Greek play Lysistrata, published by E.R.O.S. Press. He was the recipient of the Lewisham Arthouse Graduate Studio Award, 2014-2015 and The Open Air Sculpture Award, 2012. He was shortlisted for Tenderpixel’s Tenderflix Award, 2014 and the MK Gallery Artist Moving Image Award 2013.
