THROUGH THE ARTIST’S EYES: ZAUR KANTEMIROV

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites you to the meeting within “Through the Artist’s Eyes” project dedicated to Honored Artist Zaur Kantemirov. During the meeting, the artist's daughter, art historian, theater critic, producer of the festival of underground theaters "DNO" Zalina Kantemirova and his sister Rimma Salimova will talk about the artist's work and life events.

Zaur Kantemirov (1942–2021) is an artist who has achieved great successa in the fields of graphics, posters, painting, monumental art, industrial design, and photography. Participant and winner of numerous international, all-Union, and republican exhibitions. He is also the author of one of the first postage stamps of independent Azerbaijan. In recent years, he has created fantastic works based on glass material. Thanks to these works, he was called the “Glass Heart”.

There will be a short Q&A session at the end of the event.
