LECTURE BY NIGAR KOCHARLI WOMEN IN AZERBAIJANI LITERATURE

YARAT Contemporary Art Space presents a lecture entitled “Women in Azerbaijani Literature” by Nigar Kocharli, the founder of the “Ali and Nino” chain of bookstores, who contributed to the formation of reading culture in Azerbaijan. Lecture presets within the framework of the current “Pink-Black” group exhibition displayed at the Museum of Azerbaijani Painting of the XX-XXI Centuries,

The revolutionary female characters “Sevil” and “Almaz” are rare examples of Azerbaijani fiction. Nevertheless, in different eras of our literature, “sacrificing and enduring” female characters are more common. Nigar Kocharli dedicated already 20 years to reading. During the event, she will talk about the social, moral, as well as local and global factors that play a role in the creation of women's images in our literature.
