ARTIM FILM CLUB: WONDER FILM SCREENING

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invite to the closing of YARAT Film Club’s summer season, which will take place in ARTIM Project Space within the framework of the exhibition “Forget What You Know, See Who I Am”. Main topic of the exhibition is “bullying”. This time we will watch and discuss the film “Wonder”, directed by Stephen Chboski.

“Wonder” / 2017 / USA / drama / 113 min.

“Wonder” is a film about the unusual boy Augustus “Auggie” Pullman. Auggie suffered from a congenital rare disease (Tricken Collins syndrome). But all the efforts of the surgeons did not make Auggie happy, because his face remained ugly. Therefore, the boy, possessing a wonderful sense of humor, was used to wearing the astronaut's helmet on his head so that no one was afraid. But now it's time to go to school, where you need not only to study, but also try to make friends with classmates.

Our guest speaker for this event is Elnara Shahbazzade, the leading psychologist of the “Green Line” Center. E. Shahbazadeh has 5 years of experience working with children and adults. Participated in many international conferences. In 2015, Azerbaijan took part in an international conference on the theme “Integration of children with special needs”.
