FILM CLUB: XI RUSSIAN FESTIVAL OF SHORT FILMS ARTKINO

YARAT Contemporary Art Space pleased to announce that this year the YARAT became a partner of the XI Russian festival of short films “Artkino”.

In the period from August 24 to November 30, different venues in 33 cities of Russia and the CIS as well as across the world will host screenings of 18 films that were awarded with prizes and compiled into three film almanacs: “Spring”, “Summer”, “Autumn”.

During the screenings, the audience will cast their vote for the best short film of the year. Voices will be calculated and, according to the results of voting the All-Russian Prize in the field of short films will be awarded.

The competition is intended not only for the students and graduates of the country's leading film schools, but also for independent authors. Artkino is positioned not as a student, but as a professional festival, despite the fact that 90 % of its participants and spectators are young people.

But, unfortunately, not everyone is happy with this.
