FILM CLUB: TALK BY VAGIF MUSTAFAEV AND “FRENCHMAN” FILM SRCEENING

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites you to a meeting with Vagif Mustafayev, director, screenwriter, People's Artist of Azerbaijan, laureate of the State Prize of Azerbaijan and Cavalier of the Order of "Sharaf" and “Shohrat”. "Frenchman"(1995) movie directed by the guest himself will be demonstrated during the event.

"French" movie - was based on the motifs of the short story "Akhlikef" by Amir Pahlavan, an Azerbaijani playwright, winner of the State Prizes of the Republics of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The screenplay is about our compatriots who look down on our national traditions after returning from Europe.

Well-known actors such as Yashar Nuri, Farman Shakili, Zarnigar Agakishiyeva and Nuriya Ahmadova were featured in the film. Along with them, artist Ujal Hagverdiyev played the role of a French translator in the film.
